Tour description

Duration: 9 hours

TRIVIA: The closing scene of the 1979 Francis Ford Coppola movie “Apocalypse Now” were filmed here, with some remnants of the film sets still visible at the Falls.

The Pagsanjan Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines accessible only by dugout canoe. As your boatman takes you upstream the sight  of lush greenery and cliffs unfold. The first fall is 20 minutes away and at the second, main fall the water explodes from 70 feet above. A bamboo raft will take you under this waterfall, a fantastic experience! Your return trip downstream is also exciting as you “shoot the rapids”!

The (optional) pulling of the bamboo raft under the waterfall stream itself is NOT ADVISABLE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN. The sound of the cascading water, in combination with the inevitable screams of excitement of fellow passengers and being on a bamboo raft can be frightening.

P.S. Please be warned that some boatmen on the Pagsanjan River may seek to increase their income by pressurizing you for a higher than average tip. You are not obliged to give a tip unless you think it is appropriate. The service for the boat, including boatmen, has already been paid by Filipino Travel Center Corp. Theit service is regulated by the local government authorities and do not fall under our jurisdiction.
