Located about 30 km Southeast of Negros island, South of Cebu and West of Bohol, limestone rock Island Siquijor is not much visited by Filipino’s, frowned upon as “the Island of Fire” with its mountain folk healers and spirituality.

A quiet rural scenery with some interesting bell towers, churches, caves and hidden lagoons with clear waters and stretches of white sand beaches awaits you. Good inland roads enable you to go around this hilly island in about 3 hours.

Itinerary

Rates subject to change and not valid on super peak dates.

Day 1
Upon arrival at Dumaguete airport, a representative will await for you. From here you will be driven in a private, airconditioned car to the pier ( 15 minutes) , from where the public ferry to Siguijor will depart. Expect the ferry ride to Larena Pier on Siquijor Island to be 2 hours . Upon docking there, a representative will drive you in a comfortable airconditioned van ( 40 minutes ) to your tropical garden setting resort with 800 meters of white sand beach in front for you to enjoy.

Day 2
After breakfast overlooking the turqoise sea, be ready by 10 am with sun protection, swimwear, sandals / booties and a sarong to cover your legs (for your visit of the St. Isidore Church) for a day of fun exploration of Siguijor island in comfortable, private transportation with an English speaking guide.

Witness the 4 century year old Balete Tree (or Banyan Tree). Locals believe that this tree is inhabited by spirits. The tree provides water to supply the village.
Next you visit the St. Isidore Church and Convent, built by Spanish priest in 1884 in Lazi, it is the biggest and among the oldest convents in Asia and recognized as a National Historical Landmark.
Around 11:30 am refresh and swim at the Cambugahay three level waterfalls. Here you will also have lunch. We advice you to bring throw-over clothing as there is no change room at the falls.
After lunch, visit the Butterfly Farm, forest peak of Mt Bandilaan and enter the Cantabon Cave. Note : bring good grip sandals as the entrance of this cave is small and can be muddy/slippery.
Before returning to your resort by 4 pm, you will also visit St. Francis of Assisi Church and Bell Tower, the first Parish Church on the island built in 1783.
