Itinerary

At 08:00 – 09:30 am (depending on your choice of departure time upon booking) our private, chauffeur driven airconditioned car will conveniently pick you up for  a 1.5 – 2 hours drive south of Manila to the province of Batangas, then down a winding narrow road from the Taal Ridge-believed to be part of the volcano itself- to the small local community with a closer view to the Taal Volcano called ”Talisay”.

Around 10 to 11:00 am you board a motorized outrigger boat to Taal Volcano Island,  30 minutes away. Upon arrival you will witness a small community of local fishermen in quite a barren landscape.

Accompanied by your local English speaking guide, you start the approximately 30 to 40 minutes walk up to the rim of the crater. It is not a difficult walk, but the loose lava sand, dust and heat might be something you are not accustomed to. At the top you are rewarded with the unique view of the inner Crater Lake, the largest lake on an island in the world, where you can stay for about one hour and ponder how an active volcano looks like up close when dormant.

Once you are back with the local outrigger boat on the shores around 13:00pm (by the way, we follow this timetable to avoid trekking during the heat of the day ), the driver with car awaits and drives you to a lakeside inn for a well deserved, one hour local set lunch.

Expect to leave around 14:00 pm to avoid the inconvenience of building up traffic into Metro Manila, where the driver will drop you off around 16:00pm.
