Golf 2010 within Metro Manila

A. CLUB INTRAMUROS is only par-60, 3,065 (3,352 yards) layout, but it can be a real test of your short game with either water, out-of-bounds, or both on nearly every hole. A big plus for Intramuros, beyond it’s unique historic setting along the old walled city, is that it can easily be played in just two hours, making it ideal for that early morning or late afternoon game. The green's diverse individual holes plus unique placements can challenge every golf shot imaginable. Its principal challenge lies in no less than water holes, mostly short but testy nonetheless because it demands precision to play them.

B. VILLAMOR GOLF CLUB This internationally famous 60-hectare, 18-hole par-72 golf course has a total yardage of 7,010 measured from the championship tee. The fairways are bounded by lines of elegant looking Agoho (pine) trees, native ipil-ipil, narra and in some areas mango trees. Most of the greens are elevated and are trimmed everyday to a height of 9/64 inch. The fairways are planted to carabao grass which is suited for the tropical climate. Indian Tulips serve as 150-yard markers. Villamor has been for many years the host club of Philippine Masters.

C. WACK-WACK GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB has two fine 18-hole courses. One is the internationally known East Course where frequently big tournaments have been held like the Philippine Open and the World Cup of 1977, the other is the West Course.The East Course is a vast layout whose challenge lies in its water hazards, vast greens and length of its fairways. Its famous No. 16, a par 3 has been known to be a make-or-break hole.The West Course, shorter and less troublesome, draws the senior and female members of the club. With a fine clubhouse Wack Wack is complete with facilities according to international standards. A must for the tourist golfer.

Golf 2010 South of Manila

EAGLE RIDGE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, near enough to Metro Manila to be convenient and far enough away so you can experience a slice of idyllic Philippine countryside living. With four championship courses designed by Isao Aoki, Andy Dye, Nick Faldo and Greg Norman, Eagle Ridge and has the largest golfing facility in the country at the moment that features a golf course to suit all skill levels and playing preferences.

LUISITA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB Luisita Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship course, which assures excellent playing conditions and a most enjoyable golf course!
