The Philippine Tarsier is no larger than an adult hand
and one of the world’s smallest known primates. Its
eyes, however, are enormous and can’t turn in their
sockets. Instead, like an owl,
it has a special adaptation in its neck allowing

This tour takes you 2 ½ hours southwards of Manila,
to the early 20th century town of Pagsanjan. As your boatman starts
rowing the local dugout canoe upstream the sight of rich old trees
clinging to the cliffs unfolds before you. At the main fall the water
plunges down from 70 ft above. You may opt to ride a bamboo raft (minimal
additional fee applies) that will take you underneath the waterfall
(not adviceable for small children). Your trip downstream is an exciting
experience as you “shoot the rapids"!
Waterlevel is highest, hence fastest rides, Sept to Feb and slowest
rides April , May when waterlevels are lower due to higher temperatures.Your
boatman will skilfully manoeuvre the boat between the rocks and boulders
until you reach the calm river of Pagsanjan. |
