BOHOL
“Relaxed province pace”
Tourism on this island is still undeveloped, but definitely suitable for various outdoor activities. Bohol Island moves at
a relaxed province pace. Most
holiday seekers and divers continue straight to Panglao Island (30 minutes from Tagbilaran airport), where most resorts are
located. Panglao Island is good for scuba diving to be combined with non-diving family members. Dolphins can eg be seen here. The beach is of
white sand, but narrow. International cuisine available.
Interesting places to pay a visit are “The Chocolate Hills”: over 1200 rolling hills that are sometimes green and sometimes brown
depending on the season. Or to explore the country side’s coral stone churches, falls or Hinagdanan Cave.
The “Tarsier”, world’s smallest monkey,
the size of a fist, is endemic to Bohol’s little Sikatuna National Park.
